Teenage American actor Keith L. Williams is currently best known for playing the starring role of Lucas in the 2019 hit comedy film Good Boys. The film grossed over $100 million at the box office and saw Williams and his fellow cast members nominated for a Young Entertainer Award. Williams has also been nominated for three Young Artist Awards for his work in The Goldbergs, The Last Man on Earth, and in a commercial for Chex breakfast cereal. Not bad going for a high-school kid!
Williams was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2007. He made his screen debut in Blake Shelton’s Not So Family Christmas when he was just five years old. When he was seven, he got his first recurring role, appearing in several episodes of the Warner Bros sitcom, Selfie. He continued to establish himself in comedy acting with a part in the American version of Teachers and Fox’s post-apocalyptic comedy series The Last Man on Earth. He played Jasper during the third and fourth seasons of the latter, which was nominated for several Primetime Emmys.
Williams’ biggest break, however, came with Good Boys, a coming-of-age comedy film about a group of sixth-graders trying to get themselves invited to a party. It was premiered at the uber-cool SXSW Festival in Williams’ home state and went on to gross more than five times its budget at the box office, giving Williams his first real taste of the big time. There’s surely much more to come, too.
