One of the best rugby union players in the world, Conor Murray has numerous top honours to his name and has represented Ireland and the British & Irish Lions. At club level the scrum-half has played for Munster since 2010, where he has been ever present for his club and racked up more than 175 appearances to his name. A powerful, imposing and physical scrum-half, he has won many accolades across his club career including the Celtic League (now known as PRO14), the World Rugby Men’s 15s Team of the Decade and 2015 Munster Player of the Year.
Hailing from Limerick, Ireland, Murray played rugby from a young age and also played Gaelic football with Limerick and Patrickswell. He made his competitive debut as a player for Irish provincial side Munster in 2010 against Connacht in the Celtic League. Murray is also held in high regard on the international stage, and made his national side debut in a 2011 Rugby World Cup warm up game against France. Since then he has been a regular for the Ireland squad, winning a Grand Slam and Triple Crown in 2018 and 2023 and the Six Nations Championship in 2014, 2015 and 2023. Murray was also selected for the 2013 British & Irish Lions tour to Australia, the 2017 tour to New Zealand and the 2021 tour to South Africa.
