One of the UK’s top comedians, Russell Howard is best known for his hit TV shows Russell Howard’s Good News that was BBC3’s best-performing entertainment show and The Russell Howard Hour for Sky 1.
Having gone from strength to strength with his hilarious comedy stand-up, Howard’s 2017 tour Round the World was his biggest yet with sell-out performances across 11 countries. The tour’s success has since led to his Netflix special, Recalibrate. Until 2010 Howard was a regular panellist on UK comedy shows including Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Would I lie to you? Howard has also appeared regularly on Live at the Apollo and performed at the 2008 Secret Policeman’s Ball. In 2016, Howard, alongside his mum filmed the first series of his travelogue Russell Howard & Mum: USA Road Trip for that aired on Comedy Central UK. One of the channels highest rating shows, two further series have since been filmed.
A critically acclaimed comedian around the world, Howard has one many an award including an if.comedy award for his Edinburgh Fringe show in 2006 and a Chortle Award for Best Compère and Best Theatre Show. An undoubtedly brilliant performer Howard has released four bestselling DVDs featuring his live stand up from his previous tours including Russell Howard Live, Dingledoddies, Right Here, Right Now and Wonderbox.
