Starting out as a champion boxing prodigy, child actor Javon Walton has accomplished a staggering amount in his young age. He played the drug dealer Ashtray in HBO’s teen drama Euphoria, an adolescent with face tattoos who sells illegal drugs from a secret room in the back of a California gas station. Euphoria had a critically acclaimed debut season, becoming the subject of controversy due to the sheer unabashed rawness with which it depicts adult themes, and features ex-Disney superstar Zendaya and Maude Apatow (daughter of Judd Apatow). Walton has also been cast as Grant – one of the four leads – in Amazon Prime’s remake of Utopia, a show starring John Cusack, Sasha Lane and Rainn Wilson.
Known as Javon “Wanna” Walton back in his hometown in Georgia, this pint-sized actor is also an impressive boxer (he’s a five-time Georgia state champion) and gymnast, having competed in the Junior Olympics. He also starred in an Under Armour commercial with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Walton is an incredibly ambitious and inspiring performer and athlete despite his astonishing youth, and has already commenced lining up future exciting projects. Most notably, he’s due to appear in the 2021 fantasy drama movie Samaritan alongside his boxing hero Sylvester Stallone.
