Team StarKid sensation Robert Manion is establishing an exciting acting career. With standout performances like “Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier,” Manion is a natural comedian. A popular member of the StarKid family, Manion has garnered over 15 million views on his personal YouTube channel alone. Throughout his career, Manion has developed his skills across musical theatre, television and film. A rising star, Manion is set for an impactful career in the industry.
Fast becoming a pop culture icon, Manion’s work on “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals” as Professor Hidgens blew up his social media status and fanbase. Little did Hidgens know that studying screen acting in Los Angeles would lead him to his breakthrough role in “Twisted.” While attending “LeakyCon 2012,” Hidgens entered “A Very Potter Senior Year” competition and produced the winning song for the “Wizard Duel” prompt. From there Hidgens would go on to star as the memorable characters Ethan Green and Chris Kringle in “Black Friday,” as well as various concert and convention appearances.
Unafraid to take on new challenges, Manion has appeared in a broad range of stage productions, television and film. Some of his theatre credits include the role of Moritz Stiefel in the iconic “Spring Awakening” and his scene-stealing performance at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in “Stranger Things 2: A Musical Parody.” With a range of projects like the short film comedy “Nineteen on Fire” and the music-comedy “Royalties” on the horizon, it’s clear that Moritz is building a long career centre stage.
