Star of Channel 4’s Top Boy, Shone Romulus is an actor and musician who is famous for playing the part of Dris in the popular drama.
Romulus landed the starring role in the gritty London-based series by chance, after meeting with some of the writers of the show to talk about life in his native Hackney. He was quickly snapped up for Top Boy, after the writers encouraged him to audition and he impressed the producers. The character of Dris was a main role in the show, with the naturally gifted actor returning for season two and once again impressing audiences and the creators of the show with his ability to adapt to the changing storylines within the programme. Since the programme aired Romulus has been working on more of his own projects, including short film Three Roads and feature length movie What Money Can Do. This multi-talented entertainer is also the host of his own podcast, Cakes and Cognac, where he discusses current affairs with his trademark humour and down to earth style. Romulus is also a rapper, and is working on his own music releases in the coming months too.
With the highly anticipated third season of Top Boy due for release soon, Romulus looks set to continue his rise to the top of his game. He’s become one of the best loved faces on the British urban scene today, and is in high demand as an actor and producer.
