George Kresge, best known under the alias The Amazing Kreskin, or just Kreskin, is a legendary American illusionist and mentalist. He is a performer whose act is based on suggestion, rather than claiming to have psychic or clairvoyant powers. His skills were showcased on the Amazing Kreskin Show, which aired in the early seventies and captivated audiences.

Kreskin was born in Montclair, New Jersey. As a child, he was introduced to the comic book character Mandrake the Magician, who inspired his interest in hypnotic and telepathic abilities. After this point, he began honing his skill, and brand of showmanship, until he was offered the show which made him a household name and proved a hit amongst viewers. He has continued performing his act all over the world and on television, consistently baffling and amazing his audiences.

He has also appeared in movies such as Horror in 2003, and Wake Up Callz in 2008. He has released a series of books: instructional guides to readers on the power of suggestibility, as well as a telling the stories of his own fascinating life experience. He stills performs his shows, with the Amazing Kreskin Live on Off-Broadway. He has utilised his understanding of psychology and empathy to provide educational classes for law-enforcement groups, as well as working directly with the police force to help with criminal investigations.
