Sharna Burgess is a ballroom dancer from Australia who is best known for being a professional partner on the American Dancing with the Stars, as well as a guest judge on the Australian version, alongside Craig Revel Horwood and Tristan MacManus. Burgess was the winner of season 27 alongside her celebrity partner Bobby Bones, and has been the runner-up in several other seasons, including with partners Josh Norman, James Hinchcliffe and Nick Carter.
Burgess began her dance career at the age of five, training in ballet, jazz and gymnastics before turning to ballroom at the age of eight. Burgess was known for her dedicated demeanor, going on to win local, and then national, titles. At only the age of 15, Burgess was chosen to represent Australia at the World Championships in both Standard and Latin styles, which culminated in her performing in the 2000 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremonies.
Burgess now continues to compete in Dancing with The Stars, as well as working with a variety of different brands such as Natural Cycles, Dime Beauty and Furbodog Camera – especially keen to work with brands which promote natural beauty , such as EBY – created by Sofia Vergara and Renata Black to empower women out of poverty and into business with microfinance. Burgess is a big fan of travel, as well as looking after her young dogs – she is known for her positive attitude and winning personality.
