Andrea Lovar, previously known as Andrea Lopez, is a model, actress and screenwriter best known for her antagonist roles on telenovelas and her role as as antagonist Mariángel Sánchez de Moncada in Zorro: La Espada y La Rosa. The telenovela was dubbed by Telemundo president Don Browne as “without doubt the best production offered on Hispanic television in the United States today.”, with Lovar praised for her dynamic performance.

Lovar is also known for her work on El Secretario, a Colombian telenovela produced and broadcast by Caracol Televisión. El Secretario explores 30-year-old Emilio Romero , played by Juan Pablo Espinosa, known for his work on A corazón abierto, based on Gray’s Anatomy, as his character lives in New York City working as a pizza delivery guy, despite his background in finances. Espinosa’s character finds out he has a 6-year-old daughter in Bogotá, and Lovar plays Paola in the series.

Lovar is also a screenwriter and model, and has recently been nominated for the Best Short Script by the Film Freeway and Independent Shorts Award, with her cowriter Elena Viloria. Lovar is also a big fan of travel, her cat Bianca, and modelling, with recent shots of her appearing in La Revista Vea, a magazine with a two million strong following.
