The suave Henry Golding is an award-winning actor, model, and TV personality, best known for presenting the BBC’s The Travel Show, and for the films Crazy Rich Asians, Snake Eyes, and A Simple Favour. He is also starring as Mr Elliot in the 2022 Netflix adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion.

Born in Malaysia, and raised in Surrey, Golding returned to the Far East after schooling and working as a hairdresser to pursue a career in acting. After a couple of small roles in locally produced movies, he also became known for hosting travel shows and the variety show The 8TV Quickie. He soon became a popular celebrity in Malaysia, and won the Hot Guy Award at the 2010 Shout! Awards. In 2017 he was cast in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Crazy Rich Asians, and his acting career took off. Since then he has appeared in a number of feature films, including the 2019 romcom Last Christmas with Emilia Clarke, and Guy Ritchie’s superb crime thriller The Gentlemen opposite Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant. He was then cast in the title role of Snake-Eyes, a spin-off from the G.I. Joe action movie franchise.
