A rising hip-hop artist signed to Future’s Freebandz label, Ohio-born Doe Boy caught the attention of the hip-hop kingpin at only 18 years old after releasing the mixtape Boyz N Da Hood 2.
After some time spent away from the music scene, Doe Boy returned in a big way in 2017 with a series of releases that included a collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly and a mixtape featuring Future and Lil Durk. Doubling down on the buzz this release generated, the rapper soon recorded a duo of mixtapes celebrating Future’s label and collective, titled In Freebandz We Trust 1 & 2. Enlisting Zaytoven and Lex Luger for production while roping in DJ Esco and DJ Scream for features, Doe Boy continued to cement his presence within the national trap scene.
Fast forward to 2019, and Doe Boy has been unleashing nothing but heat since his debut releases. Consistently dropping incendiary singles and video releases that rack up hundreds of thousands of views, he’s rapped alongside Meek Mill on Future’s “100 Shooters” and earned a coveted feature on trap mastermind Young Thug’s latest album So Much Fun, rhyming alongside 21 Savage on “I’m Scared”. His standalone releases “Mini Vans” and “Walk Down” reportedly caught the attention of Drake and P. Diddy, racking up over a million views on YouTube each and stoking anticipation for his next full-length project, the explosive mixtape 4 Piece.
