Le Sserafim is an incredible South Korean girl group, who consist of five members: Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae. They were formed by Source Music in 2022, and released their debut EP, Fearless, that same year. Their debut studio album, Unforgiven, came out in 2023.
Prior to Le Sserafim‘s formation, the band’s members were all involved in entertainment. Sakura had been acting and in 2011 joined the Japanese idol group HKT48 as a first generation trainee. She became a full member of HKT48 Team H in 2012 and two years later transferred to HKT48 Team KIV. She spent the next decade with the group and officially graduated in 2021. Along with Kim Chae-won, and Huh Yun-jin, Sakura then participated in the reality competition series Produce 48 in 2018. Sakura and Chae-won were named to the final line-up of the show’s project girl group, Iz*One, and stayed until its disbandment in 2021. Kazuha was a professional ballerina, while Hong Eun-chae was a student at Def Dance School.
In March 2021 Source Music announced the formation of a new girl group, Le Sserafim, and released their debut EP, Fearless, in May.
