Award-winning writer, comedian and filmmaker Andy King is a breath of fresh air in the industry. Best known for his comedy series “Cock’d Gunns,” King soon became a firm fan favourite for his witty writing style, as well as his portrayal of the character Dick Van Gunn. Before King’s rise to fame, he graduated from McGill University, Montreal, and then studied at Improv City. Born out of his love of comedy, King co-founded the award-winning comedy site “SkitFaced.com.” Now one of the hardest working artists of his generation, King has a long and fruitful career ahead of him.
Earning rave reviews across the board for his work, King always leaves his audience and critics alike in awe. King’s co-created series ”Cock’d Gunns” earned him two Gemini Awards – one for Best Writing in a Comedy Series and the other Best Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series. After, King went on to produce, write and star in the Syfy hit series “Scare Tactics.” With other acting credits including Mr Jergen on “Fargo” and J.D. Castlemane on “The Amazing Gayl Pile,” King is unafraid to challenge himself and his audience.
Behind the scenes, King has written material for many well-known comedians including Tom Green, Scott Thompson, Tracy Morgan, Howie Mandel and Ken Finkleman. Having worked as a writer and director for CBC’s “The Morgan Waters Show,” and a producer and director for MuchMusic, King is an artist at the top of his game.
