Cassandra Beaugrand is a French triathlon champion, who has ridden a steady wave of success and fame from an early age. Her name skyrocketed in the popularity of the French media when she grabbed the Junior European Cup and Championship medals in 2013 and 2014. At these events, she performed well enough to become drafted on the French Mixed Relay team, and was awarded silver in the 2014 World Championships in Hamburg. That year she was acclaimed as France’s new hope for national and international triathlon events.
Beaugrand competed in her first ITU competition in 2012, when she was only 15 years old. That year she placed second in the Team Relay Youth category at the European Championships in Aguilas. 2014 was a great year for Beaugrand, as she won the 1500m race at the European Olympic Youth Festival and gained a large following due to the press coverage of the event. Her success didn’t stop there, Beaugrand’s solid swimming strokes and powerful running strides were displayed best in 2018. That year she won her first gold medal at the 2018 World Triathlon Hamburg. The very next day she took part in the French Mixed Relay team, winning the World title and then the European Championships just a month later. After securing the U23 bronze on the Gold Coast event, she completed a strong year. In 2019 her French Mixed Relay team would once again win the World Championships, and she would finish the year going on to gold at the Tokyo Olympic Test Event.
