Petrolhead Daniel Ricciardo is a professional racing driver, who has competed in Formula 1 for McLaren, Renault, and Red Bull Racing. He has achieved eight Grand Prix victories in F1, and after the 2021 season in which he won the Italian Grand Prix, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2022 Australia Day Honours.
Born and raise din Perth, Australia, Ricciardo grew up began a fan of NASCAR racing, and began racing go-karts when he was nine-years-old. He worked his way through the various racing classes, and made his F1 debut at the 2011 British Grand Prix as part of the HRT Red Bull Racing Team. He joined Toro Rosso in 2012 full-time and drove a Ferrari-powered car for them over the next two seasons.Then in his first season with Red Bull under Renault power he claimed his first win at the Canadian Grand Prix in 2014. He also scored two more wins that season in Hungary and Belgium. In 2019 he signed a contract to drive for Renault, then after two years he joined McLaren for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
