Hailing from Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines, Fain showcased his athletic prowess as a swimmer and a skilled basketball player. His passion for broadcasting emerged early, and he pursued his dreams by studying broadcast journalism at the University of Washington. Following university, Fain immersed himself in coaching, leading the swimming team for a decade and serving as the head boys’ basketball coach at Mount Rainier High School.
Fain’s broadcasting journey took flight with internships at KIRO-TV and KIRO-Radio, leading to a collaboration with Jeff Aaron on the morning show.
