South Korean short track speed skater, Noh Do Hee is a multi-time gold-medal-winning world champion who competes to an international level.
After taking up skating when she was seven, alongside her old brother, Do Hee first competed at the World Junior Championships during the 2010-11 season at which she finished in an impressive fourth place overall. Returning to the event the following year, Do Hee successfully took home her first international gold medals after winning in both the 3000m Relay event and overall. She has gone on to win a further four gold medals at both the junior and senior World Championships. Continuing to succeed in her sporting career, a key highlight for Do Hee came during the 2014-15 season when she was selected to represent South Korea in the senior national team at the World Cup. Having since competed in short track speed skating competitions around the world, Do Hee has won an array of medals from 2014 – 2020 including seven bronze, five silver and ten gold medals at the World Cup in the 1000m, the 1500m, the 200m Relay and the 3000m Relay.
Despite having suffered numerous injuries throughout her career, including a fractured vertebrae during 2017 Olympic Winter Games trials, Do Hee has continued to show her determination for winning in this fast-paced sport.
