Tony Gill is an English-Indian professional wrestler presently signed to the NXT UK brand of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Gursinder Singh was his ring moniker when he first joined with Impact Wrestling, but in the WWE, he is now known as Rohan Raja. Born in West Sussex, England, Gill began his wrestling career in May 2015 at the Storm Wrestling Academy in Canada, where he was coached by Lance Storm. He made his professional wrestling debut in August 2015, in Alberta, Canada. Under the name “Tony Cage,” Gill went on to wrestle for different indie promoters in Western Canada. He subsequently went to Battle Arts Academy for more training under teachers Yuki Ishikawa and Santino Marella, before working in the indie scene in Ontario and Eastern Canada.
In July 2017, Gill participated in a two-day Impact Wrestling/Pro Wrestling Noah tryout and was one of the athletes chosen for an IMPACT Wrestling developmental agreement. He moved to Ontario, Canada to train with head trainer Scott D’Amore at the Can-Am Dojo. Gill later appeared on Impact Wrestling’s reality show “Global Forged” as one of the competitors. Despite not winning, he caught the attention of IMPACT authorities and secured a full-time contract with the company in November 2017.
In January 2018, IMPACT announced the formation of a new stable dubbed The Desi Hit Squad, with Gill as a member. On Impact Wrestling Last Chancery and Impact One Night Only: March Breakdown, he made his debut under the name Gursinder Singh, alongside Rohit Raju. Gill has since left IMPACT and signed with the global wrestling juggernaut WWE, making his debut against Teoman in April 2021.
