Jillian Harris is a prominent Canadian television personality and interior designer, celebrated for her engaging presence on various reality TV shows and her impactful contributions to the design industry. She began her career in interior design at Caban, an interior goods store, where her passion for design flourished. This led to her collaboration with Scott Morison, co-founder of Cactus Club Cafe, where she designed multiple restaurant interiors, showcasing her talent and creativity. Harris further solidified her credentials by obtaining a certificate in interior design from The British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2006.
Harris gained national recognition as a contestant on the 13th season of The Bachelor in 2009, where she captivated audiences and finished as the second-runner-up. Her charisma and charm led to her selection as the star of the 5th season of The Bachelorette, making her the franchise’s first Canadian lead. Although her engagement to Ed Swiderski ended in 2010, her journey on the show significantly raised her profile in the entertainment industry.
In addition to her reality TV success, Harris showcased her design expertise as a designer on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and as the host of Canada’s Handyman Challenge. From 2013 to 2019, she starred in Love It or List It Vancouver, where she creatively transformed homes, competing against real estate agent Todd Talbot to help families decide whether to renovate or sell.
Beyond television, Harris has made her mark in the entrepreneurial space by launching her own brand of interior decor goods and an e-vintage webstore, Charlie Ford Vintage. She has collaborated with notable brands to create fashion collections and developed a subscription box, Jilly Box, along with an online course, Jilly Academy. Her plant-based cookbook, Fraiche Food Full Hearts, co-authored with her cousin, further exemplifies her diverse talents and commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle.
