With thirty years in entertainment, Lochlyn Munro has achieved nearly 250 acting credits to date. To modern audiences, he’s best known for playing Betty’s father, Hal Cooper, on the popular teenage drama, Riverdale. Outside of acting, he’s also served as the co-producer of Jurassic Predator: Xtinction.
Hailing from British Columbia, Munroe’s done myriad Canadian films and series, including the show Northwood, where he played leading man, Jason. On television, he’s also landed recurring roles like Agent Andrew Forbes in Two, McKinney in Hawkeye, Jack Sheridan in the CW’s Charmed, as well as various parts on his television debut: 21 Jump Street, starring Johnny Depp. He’s also guest-starred on countless hit shows like CSI, The Mentalist, Castle, Psych, Hawaii Five-0, Burn Notice, Supernatural, Bones, Chicago Med, Lucifer, and the list goes on.
But Munro’s career doesn’t just exist on TV—he’s had a prominent career on the big screen, as well. After only doing three films, Munro was cast alongside Hollywood royalty like Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman in the blockbuster hit, Unforgiven, playing the character, Texas Slim. He’d go on to land other parts in comedy movies such as Craig in A Night at the Roxbury starring Will Ferrell, Greg Cox in the very first Scary Movie starring Anna Faris, and Special FBI Agent Jacob Harper in the cult classic, White Chicks. He’s even had a hand at horror, playing Deputy Scott Stubbs in the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th crossover film: Freddy vs. Jason. Other notable film appearances include Benchwarmers, Little Man, Tomorrow Land, among others.
