Multi-award winning Maria Antonelli is a formidable Olympian and world champion. No stranger to competition, Antonelli fights hard on the court in her defending position and has managed to bring home the gold from countless games across the globe. Antonelli honoured her native Brazil at the 2012 London Olympics, where she fought in an exciting match on the sand. Winning big at the FIVB World Championships, Antonelli has brought home multitudes of titles throughout her impressive career.

Advancing her career on the world volleyball stage, Antonelli has found her home on the court. With her former partner Carol, Antonelli played over 30 international tournaments as a team in their debut season alone. The dynamic duo won a gold in their second tournament together in Hague, five silvers and one bronze. Celebrated nationally, Antonelli played under the guidance of coach Luciano Kioday; this successful team brought Antonelli and Carol to Brazillian Champion status.

Bringing unwavering energy to the court seems to be Antonelli’s greatest strength. Taking time to study her opponents game style, taking care of her body and mind propels Antonelli to gain the advantage she needs. Recognising that ‘the life of an athlete is made of cycles,’ Antonelli has partnered with Secomandi for the next stage of her athletic journey.
