Christopher Ward, who is better known as MC Chris, is a rapper, voice actor, improvisational comedian and writer. He was associated with the genre of nerdcore and originally performed with the rock band The Lee Majors. He is most famously for having worked behind the scenes and for contributing original lyrics to the cult comedy show Adult Swim. His music is available to download and stream through bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon, and he has released ten albums and five EPs.
Born and raised in Illinois, Ward attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He joined the Cartoon Network and worked behind the scenes on Adult Swim, most notably on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. He later worked on Sealab 2021, and The Brak Show, and was also a contributing writer for Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. He parted ways with the Cartoon Network in 2004 to concentrate on his recording career. He briefly return to Adult Swim, and then in 2010 he began creating the theme songs for several of the SModcast Internet Radio programmes.
MC Chris regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook, posting pictures and videos about his life around music and comedy.
