Parker McCown is an American reality TV star-turned-musician. He first entered the public’s consciousness as part of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, a Bravo reality series in the Below Deck franchise that premiered in early 2020. At the time, he was working as a deckhand on Parfisa III, a 177ft sailing yacht then based in Greece. After leaving the show at the end of the first season, McCown turned his hand to music, helping to form the country-influenced group Hickabee. The band released their debut album, Mountain Morning, in April 2021 with McCown on guitar and lead vocals. Their upbeat, authentic, and rootsy music quickly gained thousands of streams across various platforms.

McCown’s new career and rugged image are a world away from the fresh-faced look he presented just over a year earlier when he starred in the first series of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. After realising that life at sea wasn’t the one for him, he left the show halfway through the season and spend some time travelling before returning to his native America and beginning to further himself as a musician. He is popular on social media, especially Instagram, where he has over 17,700 followers.
