Patricia Kara is an American model, actress, and television personality best known to game show fans as one of the briefcase models of the American version of Deal or No Deal — alongside host Howie Manel, she is the only person to have appeared on every version of the show and could be seen on both its daytime and primetime editions. She has over thirty years of experience in the entertainment industry and has also appeared on shows such as America’s Got Talent and Ellen. She has appeared in advertising campaigns for major brand names such as Disney, Toyota, Johnson & Johnson, Time Life, Procter & Gamble, and Princess Cruise Lines. She also had a role in the American soap opera, Passions, during the early 2000s. Kara also uses her wealth of experience to mentor young models with her Secrets to a Successful You and Dream On Now Deliver instructional series.
Kara, who was once featured in People magazine’s ‘100 Most Beautiful People’, was born in Chicago and began her modelling career there before stints in Miami, New York, and eventually, Los Angeles. There, she established herself as an actress and host, presenting segments from major events such as the Golden Globe Awards and working as a VJ, actress, and even as a voice actress in video games. In 2005, she was selected to become one of the briefcase models for Deal or No Deal, the American version of the wildly successful UK game show. She is still associated with the show today, but as her resume proves, she is far more than one game show.
