Ray Borg, also known as the Tazmexican Devil, is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the flyweight division and was previously signed with UFC.
Borg’s professional career started back in 2012, and over the next few years he earned a reputation for being a promising young fighter. He competed in fights across the Southwestern US, in promotions such as Legacy Fighting Championship and King of the Cage. By 2014 he had caught the attention of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and he went on to sign with the promotion with whom he spent the next six years. He competed in 12 fights with the promotion, also taking home two Performance of the Night honours during his tenure. This talented and determined fighter has mainly competed in the flyweight category, briefly moving into the bantamweight category in 2019. Borg has become a fan favourite over the course of his career and has earned the nickname of the Tazmexican Devil among his followers thanks to his roots in New Mexico and his fiercely competitive nature in the ring.
Most recently, Borg has been released from the UFC and returned to the sport with a win at the UAE Warriors in June 2021. After taking some time out from the ring to recover from Covid-19, Borg is looking forward to returning to form with upcoming fights and training scheduled.
