Adventurous and energetic champion skier, filmmaker and TV show star Rory Wayne Bushfield has become one of Canada’s most loved personalities. Hailing from Alberta, Canada, Bushfield had success early on as one of Canada’s best junior skiers, becoming the Junior World Mogul Champion in 2002. Bushfield went on to become one of the country’s most accomplished and versatile athletes, competing in the X Games in slopestyle as well as traveling the world competing and winning as a backcountry and freestyle skier. In 2012, Bushfield began traveling on the Nitro Circus Live Tour, bringing his insanely impressive stunts and tricks to every corner of the world.
Bushfield was also very active as an actor and filmmaker in many ski documentaries. These include several projects with Matchstick Productions such as Yearbook in 2004, The Hit List in 2005 and Push in 2006, among many others. He also released and appeared in One For the Road and The Dream Factory in 2011, and Action Figures in 2015. In 2013 Bushfield attracted national attention as the winner of the reality TV diving competition Splash. Sharing his infectious positivity with the country, he has since become a cherished media personality. Bushfield volunteers as a ski coach and runs the Sarah Burke foundation, in memory of his late wife. The foundation helps to give financial assistance to young winter sports athletes.
With a dedicated fan base, he has also accumulated over 50 thousand Instagram followers. On the platform he shares his travels, new projects and ventures as well as his dog Dex – the poster boy of Bushfield’s successful dog food brand Dex Knows Best.
