Roz Drezfalez, also known as Roz Hernandez, is an American drag queen and podcast host with a huge social media fanbase. They are currently best known for their paranormal-themed podcast Ghosted, hailed as a “slumber party pillow talk” show where guests share their best ghost stories. The show has been running weekly since January 2019 and has built up both a significant fanbase and collection of celebrity guests, including the likes of RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Kim Chi, Peppermint, and BenDeLaCreme, other prominent names on the drag scene such as Peaches Christ, and bestselling authors such as Chris Colfer.
Drezfalez was born in Michigan, but like so many aspiring entertainers, made their way to Los Angeles, which is where they are today. Inspired by their love of playing with gender identity, they began dabbling in drag in 2010, initially keeping it to the confines of their home before daring to start performing live. They eventually developed the Roz Drezfalez persona (a pun on the LA bargain clothing store ROSS Dress for Less) and began building a reputation through solo shows and appearances in shows like Sheetle-Juice and Mean Gays, which was produced by their good friend Peaches Christ. Drezfalez has also appeared in feature films, including one called Moon Manor.
On social media, Drezfalez is most active on Instagram where they have over 22,000 fans, a count that grows with each brilliant new episode of Ghosted. It’ll be fascinating to see where this remarkable artist’s talents take them next.
