The fantastic sportsman Stephen “On-Fire” Maguire is a professional snooker player, who has won six major ranking tournaments during his impressive career. A prolific break-builder, he has been placed as high as No.2 in the world snooker rankings, and was in the Top 16 for 11 consecutive years.
Born and raised in Glasgow, Maguire started playing snooker at a young age, and turned professional when he was 17-years-old after winning the 1998 IBSF World Snooker Championship. He has since gone on to prove himself as a formidable opponent on the baize and has claimed victories at eight tournaments across the globe: the 2003-04 European Masters; the 2004-05 UK Championship; the 2007-08 Northern Ireland Trophy; the 2007-08 China Open; the 2012-13 Welsh Open; the 2014-15 and the 2019-20 Six-red World Championship; and at the 2019-20 Tour Championship.
Maguire has also been a regular competitor at The Masters, reaching the quarter-finals on four occasions and the semi-finals four times.
