Swiss professional volleyball and beach volleyball player Tanja Hüberli is one of the top athletes in the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball [FIVB]. Her professional debut at the 2010 Youth World Championship in Oporto, Portugal took the world by storm, ranking 9th. In 2012 she played in he first Grand Slam tournament with Marlen Brunner before heading to the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball [CEV] U23 in Assen.
She later became partners with Tanja Goricanec in 2013 and received gold at the Swiss National Championships. They soon won silver at the 2014 Vice European champions in Sardinia and was named Most Improved Player FIVB Tour 2014. Hüberli began playing with Nina Betschart in 2015 and went on to claim multiple victories across the globe including winning bronze at the Klagenfurt Major. In 2018 they claimed the Swiss Champions, became Vice European Champions at Den Haag, and received two bronze medals; Hüberli was also named Best Blocker of 2018 European Championship.
In 2019 Hüberli and Betschart came in fourth at the Beach Volleyball World Cup. They received high placements at the WM Hamburg, Gstaad Major, and Vienna Major. She was named Best Blocker at the European Championship for the second year in a row and later went on to win the Swiss Champions. Hüberli loves Thai curry and salmon and continues to raise the bar on the sand especially during the Rome World Tour Finals where she ranked 9th in the world.
