Thomas “Tom” Aspinall is a talented English professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the heavyweight division of the prestigious Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As of March 2022, he had an impressive 12-2 record, and is a four-time recipient of the UFC Bonus Award ‘Performance of the Night’. At the UFC, he has soundly defeated big names in the heavyweight division such as Andrei Arlovski, Sergey Spivak and Alexander Volkov.
Aspinall took after his father and began training in martial arts at the age of 7. After experimenting with wrestling and boxing, he transitioned to Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He proved his natural talent early on, after winning multiple British Opens as a youngster. By the time he left school, he became most interested in mixed martial arts, and signed his first major contract with Cage Warriors in 2019. After two fast finishes, he caught much attention and was signed to the UFC. At the UFC, Aspinall has maintained a stellar record of wins, except one recent loss in which he sustained a knee injury within the first few seconds.
Famed for his fighting IQ and his commitment to MMA, Aspinall is one of the top prospects in the heavyweight division at the moment, who only seems to improve after each fight. He takes great pride in being one of the greatest British competitors in the history of the sport, and revels in interacting with the hundred of thousands of fans on his Instagram profile.
