Rising television personality, actor and “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” star William Mahnken is making waves in the industry. Recognised for his 70s style and passion for film, Mahnken made a lasting impression from his time on the iconic lifechanging show. A Dahlonega, Georgia native, Mahnken lives on the doorstep of some of the industry’s best-loved television and film sets. From playing one of Negan’s Saviors in AMC’s hit show “The Walking Dead” to making a cameo in Netflix’s very own ode to the 80s “Stranger Things,” Mahnken has built an impressive repertoire. An instant fan favourite, Mahnken is fast becoming a sought-out personality.
The man behind “Shield and Tree Productions,” Mahnken is building up an impressive portfolio of work. With a passion for directing, writing and cinematography, Mahnken’s credits include “Room 27,” “Mudstone” and “The Creature Crew.” Appearing in front of the camera, Mahnken most notably featured in Steven Soderbergh’s “Logan Lucky” as a prison guard. As a background artist, Mahnken has appeared in the likes of “Baywatch,” “Killing Reagan,” and “Jacob’s Ladder.”
Starring in season 2 of Netflix’s “Queer Eye,” Mahnken has since become a more stylish version of himself. During the show, Mahnken famously proposed to his wife Shannan with the memorable line, “I Shannan You!” Always up for the challenge and with a desire to push the boundaries of his craft, Mahnken is currently working on his next screenplay “Big Blue.”
