Singaporean badminton player Yeo Jia Min has three career titles at only 21-years old. Her highest ranking is 24th as of November 2019. Thus far, Yeo has won four bronze medals. Three at the 2015, 2017, and 2019 Southeast Asian Games and one at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships. In 2017 Yeo was also ranked World Junior No. 1 in the girls’ singles and in 2018 she played in the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.
Yeo is also the first woman from Singapore to make it to the singles quarter-final at the world championships. Beginning her badminton journey at only seven, Yeo was also the first person from Singapore to win the girls’ Under-15 title at the Badminton Asia Junior Championships. Adding to her accolades, Yeo is the first Singaporean to ever top a world ranking in badminton.
